Obituary
MADISON - Nancy “Nancie”L. Ruppel, age 72, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Oak Park Assisted Living. She was born on Nov. 4, 1939, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Oscar and Minnie Nitsch. Nancie worked for WPS for many years. After a short retirement, she worked at Winslow’s Hallmark Store, where she made lots of friends. Nancie had a fulfilling life. She enjoyed people and brought happiness to many. Nancie also enjoyed writing and sending cards to many people. She loved traveling with her husband, especially their two trips to Europe and Russia. Nancie enjoyed her doll collection and houses, reading, the Red Hat Club, spending time with her family, and was a big fan of garage sales. She is survived by a daughter, Melody (John) Suthers of McFarland; a son, Greg (Lisa) Ruppel of Iowa; grandchildren, Jonathan Packard of McFarland, Amanda, Tracy and Ryan of Iowa; brothers and sisters, William (Vera) Nitsch, Charlotte Beninger, James (Carol) Nitsch and Marion Sommersberger, all of Sheboygen; many nieces and nephews, and lots of friends. Nancie was preceded in death by her parents; her dearest husband, Richard; sister, Doris; and brother, Robert. Funeral services will be held at MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nicholas Road, Monona, at noon, on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, with the Rev. David Byers-Dent presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people that took such good care of Nancie, SouthernCare Hospice, Oak Park Assisted Living, Wildwood Clinic, and also the Pastors from the Monona United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
