Obituary
MIDDLETON-David M. Rotar, age 58, passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011. He was born on May 12, 1953, the son of Phillip and Joan (Hamus) Rotar. Dave just began enjoying his retirement after working for Springs Window Fashions for more than 35 years. David was a true fisherman and an avid Packers fan. He was a loving father, loyal friend, and proud grandpa. David’s smile and laughter will be missed, but not be forgotten. Fishing stories will be retold, memories of him with his grandchildren shared, with every cast a thought of him will pass. David is survived by his children, Bryce D. Rotar, Bridget R. (Jeff) Smith, Brandon M. Rotar, and their mother, Connie Schulenburg; step-son, Brent A. Schulenburg; his mother, Joan Rotar; brothers, Alan and Jeff; grandchildren, Parker and Peyton Smith; two nephews, Matthew and Nathan; and niece, Heather. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Rotar; and twin brother, Duane. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. Dad you will not be forgotten. Your love and all of our love is too strong. When moments happen you’ll be there. When Packers play you’ll be there. When fishing poles cast, you’ll be there. When we close our eyes, you’ll be there. Until we meet again dad, grandpa, friend, smile, we’ll be there!
A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.

Bridget, Brandon, and Bryce,
Your Dad was a great guy! We had some super times on the lake both ice fishing and wading in the fall. He is going to be missed by all of us who new him. We will also miss the "ya - ya,ya" which he used on many occasion during our hours of conversation waiting for the big one to hit!
You have Nancy and my deepest sympathy during this most unfortunate time. If there is anything you need please let me know!
