Obituary

MADISON/BOULDER, COLO.-Milda “Millie” Ewing, age 77, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8, 1934, in Reedsburg, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Hasse) Collies. Millie graduated from high school in Spring Green. After graduation she attended UW-Madison and studied home economics. Millie was united in marriage to John C. Ewing on Sept. 8, 1953, at St. Peter’s Church in Reedsburg. She enjoyed reading and writing books and listening to music. Millie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. She is survived by her husband, John; children, Marilyn Ewing and Tom (Sandy) Ewing; granddaughter, Erin (Nathan) Chase; siblings, Margaret, Helen, Ruth, Marie, Edward, Harold, Bob and Paul. Millie was preceded in death by her sister, Esther; and brother, Gerhart. A memorial service will be held at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, with the Rev. Steven R. Vera presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. She is gone but not forgotten. She had touched so many peoples lives during her life on earth. You can be very proud of her. Never enough to say to help make the passing any better, there will be times harder than others, she will live in your hearts and memories forever. You all are in my heart and wish you my heartfelt sympathy.
