Dolores Clara Johnson

MADISON-Dolores Clara Johnson, age 81, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on June 12, 1930, in Dane, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Wildenburg) Schwartz. She married Elmer Johnson on Nov. 20, 1954, in Sauk City. Dolores was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church for more than 50 years. She loved her family dearly. Dolores provided care for many children over many years in her home daycare. She enjoyed gardening and summers at the Eagle River cabin. Dolores is survived by her husband of 56 years, Elmer; three children, Mark (Beth) Johnson of Hudson, Linda (Mike) Brewer of Lake Mills, and Eric (Lynn Cassini) Johnson of McFarland; six grandchildren, Mike (Audrey) Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Jake Brewer, Rachel Brewer, Claire Johnson, and Emma Johnson; brothers, Art Schwartz, Walter (Katie) Schwartz, Frank (Mary) Schwartz, and Lucille Alt (Danny); and sisters-in-law, Lavina Schwarz and Scholastica Schwarz. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed Schwarz and Clarence Schwarz; sister, Leona (Ray) Hillenbrand; and sister-in-law, Vivian Schwartz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 E. Main Street, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, with Monsignor Kevin Holmes presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Cemetery: Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
