Obituary
FITCHBURG- Mary Panneck, of Fitchburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. She was born August 29th, 1914 in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Martin and Winifred (Lee) Lehner. Mary graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Paul and attended St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn. She married Theodore W. Panneck on Nov. 4th, 1941, in St. Paul, Minn. She traveled all over the US while Ted was in the Army. When he retired from the military they settled in Green Bay to raise their family. A talented writer, lover of flowers, cats and an avid reader, Mary was greatly loved by her children. She enjoyed spending time in Door County by Lake Michigan and was a warm and loving mother. Mary is survived by her daughters, Teddy Panneck, Toni (Mark) Weiss of Green Bay and Susan (Hamdy) Ezalarab of Fitchburg; sons, Richard (Katie) Panneck of Sun Prairie, Dennis Panneck of Green Bay and David Panneck of Virginia; and grandson, Shawn Searle of Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Richard Lehner; and sister, Eleanor Diebel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 South Owen Drive, Madison, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
