Obituary
OREGON-Paul P. Kurk, age 53, of Oregon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Meriter Hospital with his family at his side. He was born June 5, 1958, in Milwaukee, the son of Irvin and Rose (Russo) Kurk. Paul graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee, and Madison Area Technical College with a degree in sales and marketing. He worked for Curtis Industries as a regional sales manager, and as a store manager for Kwik Trip in Madison. Paul retired in 2004 due to illness. Paul is survived by his wife, Debbie Wampfler;and their son, Justin, who is attending Marquette University. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Kurk of Menomonee Falls; a sister, Mary (Bill) Cologgi of Campbellsport, Calif; brother,Joe Kurk of Milwaukee; mother-in-law, Deloris Wampfler of Stockton, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Diana (Keith) Timpe of Cherry Valley, Ill, and Darlene (Bill) Brunner of O’Fallon, Ill; brothers-in-law, Don Jentink of Saukville, Dale (Pat) Wampfler of Stockton, Ill. and Dean (Julie Gocey) Wampfler of Verona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin; sister, Joanne Jentink; and brother-in-law, Denny Wampfler. Paul enjoyed the Packers and the team rivalries while attending family gatherings. His armchair critiques will be missed. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his dogs, Kinks and Styx. Paul especially liked traveling to warmer climates in winter and spent many of his summer vacations at the All American Soap Box Derby World Championship Race held in Akron, Ohio, where he proudly watched his son compete. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011,with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, with a Rosary at 7 p.m., and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. A luncheon will follow immediately after the burial at the church. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the donor’s choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Nazareth House, the palliative care team at Meriter Hospital, Dr. Pamela Olson and Dr. Walter Longo for their continued care and Support.

Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the donor’s choice.
