Obituary
BLACK EARTH-Anna M. Sanftleben, age 94, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 16, 1917, in the town of Cross Plains, the daughter of Richard and Bertha (Wagner) Wille. Anna was united in marriage to Herman Sanftleben on Sept. 18, 1937. Anna had many hobbies and interests, but of all things, it was her family that was her pride and joy. She is survived by her son, Dean (Thankful) Sanftleben; daughter-in-law, Joan Sanftleben; granddaughters, Judy (Steve) Larson, Heidi (Jeff) Hollenberger, Amy (Greg) Manzetti and Jodi (Don) Kleist; great grandchildren Matthew, Bradshaw, Katie, Isabel, Lucy, Eve, Abby and Kenzington; brother, Robert Wille and her beloved dog, Molly Girl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman in 1955; son, Cletus in 1973; granddaughter, Jennifer Buhler in 2005; brother, Ernie Wille and sister, Augusta “Gustie” Young. A Celebration of Anna’s life will be held at GUNDERSON CROSS PLAINS FUNERAL HOME, 2421 Church Street, Cross Plains from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011. A private family service will be held with burial at Valley Home Cemetery. A special thank you to Janice Reindl (for long walks ans quiet talks) and Bud Schroeder (American Legion food baskets) as well as the staff and care givers at Heartland Country Village for all their loving care
