Christopher Andrew Kausch

MINNETONKA, MN/MADISON-Christopher “Chris” Kausch, age 46, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 6, 2011, at his home in Minnetonka, MN. Chris was born in Milwaukee. He attended grade school at Fairview South in Brookfield until the family moved to Madison in 1974 where his attended John Muir. His middle school was Jefferson and his high school was Memorial. While in high school he earned the award of Eagle Scout. Chris went to UW Madison where he obtained a degree in Business Management and a Master Degree in Marketing. He was also a Licensed Fraud Examiner and a CPA. In Madison Chris worked for Zimbrick Honda and Clifton Gunderson and in Minneapolis for Price Waterhouse and Dorsey Law Firm. Chris was a gentle person who like to help people. He loved cars, especially Hondas and Mustangs. He loved music and played a double bass viol and an electric bass guitar in a jazz band that played for weddings. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, his uncle Henry (Tony) Helgeson and two cousins, Bob Timme and Gilbert Wee. He is survived by his parents, Ron and Mary Kausch; his brother, Mark Kausch and his wife, Patty Johnson; his sister, Tanya Kausch Hoerneman, her husband Brian and their three children, Henry, Owen and Liam whom he dearly loved. Other survivors are his aunt, Carol Timme, aunts and uncles, Sylvia and Roger Wee, Priscilla and Ron Seybold, Sonja and Calvin Stoudt, Sharon Helegson and their children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE LIVING CHRIST, 110 N., Gammon Road, Madison at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2011 with the Reverend Daniel C. Kowert presiding. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 until the time of the service at the church. Chris was a gentle person who brought great joy to his family and friends during his short life. We love him very much and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 until the time of the service at the church.
