Obituary

MADISON-Adeline Archer, age 100, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011. She was born on Dec. 18, 1910, in the town of Blooming Grove, the daughter of Sever and Pauline Field. Adeline graduated from Madison East High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Archer in 1934. Adeline worked for the City of Madison as a secretary for 20 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years. Adeline enjoyed golfing, playing cards and horse racing. She moved to Beloit in 1996 to be with her family. Adeline is survived by her daughter, Jean (Darwin) Paulson;grandchildren, Lynne (Marvin) Brandt, Amy (Dave) Flik, John (Kay) Paulson and Eric (April) Paulson;and four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Phillip, Kirsten and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert;brothers, Stuart and Phillip Field;sister, Lorraine O’Brien;and brother-in-law, Russell Archer. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made in Adeline’s name to Westminster Presbyterian Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of Beloit Health and Rehabilitation for all their care. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of the service on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011.

We are so sorry for the passing of Adeline. She lived a wonderfully long life, and was so good to Lorraine, who passed nearly 20 years ago. I am so hoping they are enjoying seeing each other again, with their brothers. We pray that God's peace is with her family at this time.
