Obituary
MCFARLAND-Gary Krogan, age 63, of McFarland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at UW Hospital. He was born on Oct. 31, 1947, in Deerfield, the son of Herman and Elayne (Nelson) Krogan. He married the love of his life, Sandy Haberkorn, on Aug. 24, 1968. Gary and Sandy have been together since the fourth grade. Sandy just recently donated a kidney to Gary in May 2010, which was a complete success. Gary graduated from Deerfield High School and worked for the U.S. Post Office for 31 years. After retirement, he worked part-time for Concourse Hotel for five years. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Gary enjoyed watching the Badgers and Brewers, but most of all the PACKERS! He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He was extremely close to Sandy’s family and he loved spending time with them. Gary is survived by his wife, Sandy; two sons, Andy and Tom; his brother, Bryan; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and Sandy’s parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. Packers attire is most appropriate.
