Ruth Marie Welch

MADISON- Ruth M. Welch, age 92, passed away on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. She was born on Jan. 25, 1919, in Viroqua, the daughter of Robert and Henrietta (Petrick) Small. She is survived by three daughters, Joan Schafer of Madison, Janet Rehbein of Madison, and Jean Ohlrich of California; son-in-law, David Whelan of Cambridge; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Whelan; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and nine siblings. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, there will be a private family service.
