Isabel Glasner

MADISON, WISC./ DEVON, PENN.- Isabel Glasner, age 67, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at her home. She was born on June 26, 1944, in Quito, Ecuador to Hans Wurfl and Trude (Marx) Wurfl. Isabel married Saul Glasner in Dec. of 1968 in New York. She attended the Colegio Americano in Quito, Ecuador. Isabel was a graduate of City College in New York and West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She worked for many years as a teacher, social worker and journalist. Isabel was an avid painter and writer. She enjoyed the outdoors, nature and meditation. Isabel is survived by her children, Jeremy (Nicole Perna) Glasner and Joanna Glasner; granddaughter, Sylvia Glasner; sisters, Friedl Kaal, Anita Wurfl, Merige Ayambira and Erica Wurfl-Perez; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Saul; and parents. A graveside service will be held at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS, 3054 County Road BB, Cottage Grove, at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
