Mr. Lloyd Strait

MADISON- Lloyd E. Strait, age 62, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on June 11, 1949, in Madison, the son of Don and Dorothy (Lemke) Strait. Lloyd married Jeannette Crapp on Nov. 16, 1968. He was an independent care giver, enjoyed helping people and also doing good deeds. Lloyd loved being around cars and opened a car lot where he made many special friends. He enjoyed collecting die cast cars and junk picking. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Jeannette; daughter, Lonnie; son, Dave (Penny); “adopted son,” Joe Hyatt Jr. and family; granddaughter, Taryn; special great-niece, Kayden Gray; special friends, Rob and Sheena Kingsley; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters; and niece, Brenda Gray. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, with the Rev. Glen Schmiege presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Memorial may be made to Lloyd’s family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s ICU and 8 SW for their special care of Lloyd. Cemetery: Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Memorial may be made to Lloyd’s family.
