Obituary

MIDDLETON- Mary H. Behrend, age 64, of Middleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Satuday, Sept. 10, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Jan. 27, 1947 in Madison, the daughter of Quintin and Dorothy Kolb. Mary married Fred Behrend on Aug. 19, 1967 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Middleton. She worked with Fred for many years at Hilldale Printing. Mary was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church. She was a great cook and enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and traveling, especially her trips to Ft. Meyers Beach since 1989. Mary is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred; daughter, Tanya Behrend of Richmond, Virginia; sons, Daniel Behrend and Corey Behrend, both of Middleton; grandson, Jack Behrend; mother, Dorothy Kolb; siblings, Judy (Bob) Faren, Jim Kolb, Linda (Tim) Hook, Jane (Paul) Anderson, Tim (Julie) Kolb and Rob (Cindy) Kolb; and many nieces, nephews and friends who meant so much to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Quintin Kolb. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave, Middleton, at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, with Father Douglas Dushack presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday. Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to HospiceCare, American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
