Obituary
MIDDLETON-Henrietta Kuehn, age 95, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison. She was born on December 10, 1915, in Mazomanie, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Breunig) Ballweg. Henrietta was united in marriage to Gerald Kuehn on February 20, 1941and together they farmed in the Middleton area for many years. She also worked as a nursing assistant at U.W. Hospitals ENT Clinic until her retirement in 1978. Henrietta loved flowers and working in her garden. She especially liked to bake apple pies for her family. She enjoyed music and loved playing the accordion and harmonica for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Henrietta was a kind-hearted woman with a warm smile and easily engaged people in conversation. She was truly a pleasure to all who met her. Henrietta loved children, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and had a special place in her heart for dogs, especially her longtime companion and treasured pom, Mickey. Henrietta was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton and its Living Rosary Society. She is survived by her daughter Phyliss Haugen; four grandchildren Mary Haugen, Donna (Jim) Wedekind, Laura (Joe) Peterson, and Dan Haugen; two great grandsons Andon McGinley and Eryn McGinley; two brothers Edward (Marion) Ballweg and Marvin (Norma) Ballweg; a sister Florentina Pertzborn; four sisters-in-law Marie Ballweg, Bernadine Ballweg, Virginia Kuehn and Mary Jane (Dave) Ellickson; three brothers-in-law Wilfred (Diane) Kuehn, Leo Kuehn, and Joe (Jane) Kuehn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald, in 1988; an infant son, Lloyd Joseph; son-in-law Jerome Haugen; brothers Mellitus Ballweg, Sylvanus Ballweg, Raymond Ballweg, Bernard Ballweg; sisters Marina Nolden and Herlindis Kuehn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton on Monday, September 5, 2011 and also on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The family extends a special thank you to St. Mary’s Care Center for their loving care and to Monsignor Dushack and the St. Bernard parish community for their visits, prayers and support. Henrietta was a gentle, loving mother, grandmother and friend, and a woman of profound faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton on Monday, September 5, 2011 and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD\'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding.
