David Norsetter

MCFARLAND-David Norsetter, age 69, of McFarland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at his home that he designed, and on the property that he lived for almost 50 years. He was born on April 21, 1942, in Madison, the son of Ollis and Helen (Vale) Norsetter. He married Christine Behrnd on April 29, 1960. David graduated from Madison Central High School, then began working for Findorff at age 18, where he became a journeyman carpenter. David progressed in his field, working at various Madison area construction companies. In 1994, David opened his own company, Door Creek Construction, Inc. He had a passion for boating, antique cars, and in his younger years, horseback riding. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. David loved life. He was a long-time member of McFarland Lutheran Church. David is survived by his wife of 51 years; daughter, Melanie (Todd) Norsetter-Ebbert; grandchildren, Becky (Josh Kay) Crass, Dave (Jessica) Crass, Jakob Ebbert, and Caleb Ebbert; brother, Marlow (Susie) Norsetter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at MCFARLAND LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, with the Rev. Jerry Tews presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to McFarland Lutheran Church or HospiceCare, Inc. Cemetery: Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
