Arne Gausmann

Gausmann, Arne MADISON-Arne L. Gausmann, age 88, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011. He was born on Oct. 18, 1922, the son of Otto and Emma (Ellestad) Gausmann. Arne served in the U.S. Army in the United States and Europe during World War II, followed by 39 years with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, retiring in 1985. Arne and Deloris Kruger were married on June 15, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Deloris preceded him in death on June 17, 2010. Arne is survived by a son, David of Minneapolis; grandson, Jacob Andrew (Christine); and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Michael, Heather Nicole and Garrett. In addition to his wife, Deloris, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald; two infant brothers, Harvey and Earl; and two sisters, Alice Grove and Minnie Esser. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
