Obituary
MADISON-Rory L. Scott, age 41, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011. Rory was born on Nov. 7, 1969, in Edgerton, to Roy and Barb Scott. He moved with his family to Madison as a young child. Rory spent his entire life in Wisconsin, truly embracing the great outdoors and all it had to offer. He had a wonderful kinship to all animals, but especially to dogs. Rory was a hard worker, mechanically inclined and was always there to help friends and family. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty. Rory enjoyed gardening, but his greatest passion was fishing. Whether rain or shine, quiet lake or frozen ice, if the fish were there to be caught, then he was the one doing the catching. Rory is survived by his parents, Roy and Barb (nee Krug) Scott; maternal grandmother, Doraine Krug (nee Javner); sisters, Pamela Scott and Melanie (Douglas) Krause (nee Scott); nephew, Braedon Krause; niece, McKenna Krause; and Hoop Dog. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Clara Gould (nee Withee); maternal grandfather, Sylvester Krug; and Pup. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. A time for refreshments will be held at the funeral home, immediately following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of service on Sunday. Rory could always be heard singing “Fishy fishy in the lake, come and bite on Rory’s bait. Fishy fishy in the hole come and bite on Rory’s fishing pole. Tip Up!”
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of service on Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011.
