Obituary

MIDDLETON-Carol L. Kasdorf, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at HospiceCare, Inc., in Fitchburg, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on May 24, 1937, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Reverend John Carl Wilhelm “Jack” Dahlke and Caroline Martha (Kansier) Dahlke. Carol attended Dr. Martin Luther College and took an emergency teaching position in Baraboo in 1958, where she met her future husband, Dean Kasdorf. They were united in marriage on June 19, 1960 in Weyauwega. Carol also taught at Madison Lutheran School and then became a full time homemaker. In 1979, she began her 27 year career in healthcare at Oakwood Village. She retired in 2006 to spend more time with her grandchildren. Her lifelong love of music led her to be active at her churches as a choir director. Carol was a very talented artist and an avid bargain hunter. She was a member of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church of Middleton. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dean Kasdorf; five children, Kathleen (Robert) Loose of Wauwatosa, David (Sarah) Kasdorf, Stephen (Tammie) Kasdorf, Myrna Kasdorf, all of Middleton, and Johanna (Don Imperial) Kasdorf, of Glendale, AZ.; six grandchildren, Thomas Kasdorf, Daniel Loose, Caroline Loose, Zachary Kasdorf, Jonah Kasdorf and Hannah Kasdorf; a brother John (Janis) Dahlke, of Weyauwega; a sister, Dr. Ruth Dahlke of Madison; a sister-in-law, Barb Dahlke of N. Muskegon, MI., and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Mark Dahlke, a grandson, Noah Kasdorf and a niece, Noel Dahlke. Funeral Services will be held at ST. ANDREW EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6815 Schneider Road, Middleton at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2011, with Rev. Randy Hunter and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Visitation will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2011 and also at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church. Cemetery: Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Dear Dean and family, We were so saddended to hear of Aunt Carol. We will certainly miss her warm smiles and good conversations, but are thankful for her saving faith that has now reunited her with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
