Be loved playing basketball and refereeing, vacationing in the north woods at Dairymen’s, watching UW basketball and football, and playing golf. He was a supportive and kind man, husband and father. He loved chatting with his family and friends. He will be so missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Phil. Be is survived by his wife, Sandra; sister, Barbara Quantius; daughter, Mary (Ralph) Benjamin; two step-daughters, Keri Bennet and Kelly (David) Baker; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and cousins, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Pastor Mary Council Austin, Dr. Kostelyna, Pat Lohr NP and Hospice for their kindness and care. Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar. Alfred Lord Tennyson
