Daniel P Gerber

MADISON-Daniel P. Gerber, age 46, beloved son of Linda L. Gerber and the late Peter J. Gerber, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, due to a heart attack. Dan was a lifelong resident in Madison and Middleton, and he was a proud graduate of Madison East High School Class of 1984. Daniel served in the U. S. Army Reserves for eight years. He was past President of Gerber Manufacturing and then employed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dan enjoyed fishing, playing cards, trips to Northern Wisconsin, and being with his family. Dan will be greatly missed and remembered most for his friendly nature, huge heart, generous disposition, concern for others, stubborn resolve, abundant endurance, and his unlimited courage and resilience. Daniel is survived by his mother, Linda L. Gerber; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. In keeping with his wishes, Daniel was cremated and private services were held.
