Obituary

MADISON-Brian Craig Scallon passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Brian was born in Madison on Jan. 23, 1971, the son of Janet Stiklestad and Gerald Scallon. He graduated from McFarland High School in 1989. Brian played on the high school hockey team that won three WAHA state championships. Recently he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until a physical disability caused him to leave. Brian’s greatest passions in life were his music, playing his guitar and the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include his mother, Janet Stiklestad; his father and stepmother, Gerald and Sharon Scallon; his sisters, Karen (Steve Dwyer) Scallon and Erin (Jim) Radle; his brother, Michael Mount; his maternal grandmother, Mary Louise Soltwedel; his nephews, Logan Dwyer and Benjamen Radle; many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his beloved cats, Kitty and Morris. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Grace Scallon; and his maternal grandfather, Harold Soltwedel. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a private family service. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society in Brian’s name. “We love you, Brian and we will miss you” A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a private family service. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens.

its been a long time, we lost touch after high school, tried finding you many times but could not. then a couple months ago we got back in touch over facebook, aparently it wasnt soon enough. the hockey, fishing, bowling that you i mike and a couple others did all the time when we where young will never be forgotten, you were a good friend,sorry we couldnt of picked up on those things again. rest in peace brian.

So sorry for your loss. I grew up with Brian and I also worked with him detassling corn in middle school and at the post office recently. He was always a decent guy and we all used to hang out in the neighborhood on the east side growing up.He got me into playing guitar.He also carried mail with us at the main post office on Milwaukee St. I miss you man. R.I.P.
