Obituary
MADISON-Palmer C. Paulson, age 93, passed away as his Heavenly Father came and took him from his earthly life on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He was born on Dec. 11, 1917 in the Town of Christiana, the son of Peter and Clara (Anderson) Paulson. Palmer proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Following the war, he met and married Lola Sherman on May 4, 1946. Palmer worked for Kroger Warehouse as a night supervisor, then worked for Madison East High School. He was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of VFW Post No. 7591. Palmer enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and was an avid bingo player. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lola Paulson; daughters, Bonnie (Steven) Juve, Linda (Duane) Olson; son, Russell Paulson; grandchildren, Michelle (Randall) Hilbelink; Randall (Jennifer) Kloskey, Jimmie (Tina) Jackson, Kevin (Kim) Jackson, Brian (Jennifer) Olson, Kim (Anthony Winge) Olson; eight great-grandchildren, Prestyn and Brycen Kloskey, Lola and Logan Hilbelink, Karly Jackson, Paige Polzer, Sabryna and Kyle Schumann; sister, Irene Learman; sister-in-law, Ruth Paulson; further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Julian Paulson; and sister, Mabel Anderson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011, with the Rev Gerry Kuhnke presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites conducted. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.

I enjoyed several years with Palmer and his family while he lived and I worked at Karmenta Center. He was a wonderful man with a caring and dedicated family. He will be missed.
