Mr. Richard J. Falkowski

MADISON-Richard J. Falkowski, age 49, was called home on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011. He was born on Dec. 11, 1961, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Richard and Virginia (Swartout) Falkowski. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Richard also enjoyed remote control airplanes. He owned BNR Tree Service for about four years, and was a wonderful baker. Richard is survived by his two daughters, Brittney and Nichole; sisters, Sonja Lundgren of Machesney Park, Ill. and Penny (Jim) Windsor of Roscoe, Ill.; mother-in-law, Melissa Gundlach; mother of his children, Tami Niemisto; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Falkowski; father-in-law, John A. Gundlach, Sr.; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding.
