Obituary

OREGON- Patricia A. Prahl, age 55, of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Dec. 13, 1955, in Elkhorn, the daughter of William and Rose Mary (Broome) Leek. Patricia married Robert Prahl on June 16, 1979, in Delavan. After graduating from Delavan-Darian High School, she attended UW-Stout, graduating with a bachelors of science in Early Childhood and later earned a masters degree in Education from UW- Whitewater. Patricia taught in the Stoughton School System for 30 years, retiring in Dec. 2010. She enjoyed the outdoors, doing yard work and biking. Patricia is survived by her husband, Robert; four sons, Christopher (Jamie) of Brooklyn, Michael of Kenosha, Daniel of Oregon and Bryan of Oregon; granddaughter, Jillian; father, William (Sharon) Leek of Delavan; three sisters, Joan Duvall, Mary Jane (Clyde) Pence and Pam (George) Predick; and three brothers, Jim Leek, John Leek and Tom Leek. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Mary; two brothers, Michael W. Leek and Fredrick R. Leek; and sister, Barbara K. Leek. A Memorial Mass will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main Street, Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, with Father Gary A. Wankerl presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Monday, July 18, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Mother Consolation Catholic Church, HospiceCare Inc. or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
