Obituary
MADISON-David Francis Lingk, age 34, of Madison, started his great journey on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife, Gena, family and friends by his side. He was born on April 19, 1977, in Madison, the son of Gerhard and Mary Kay (Welsh) Lingk. Dave was married to Gena Y. Lindholm in 2007, and was previously married to Angela (Schneider) Lingk. He was an exceptional father to Gabe, age 9, and Madeline, age 4. Dave graduated from McFarland High School in 1995, then attended M.A.T.C. and studied computer technology. He was quickly hired by Aberdean Consulting, and became a partner in 2006, and a managing partner/owner in 2008. The accomplishments that he made at Aberdean Consulting were some of the proudest of his life. Dave, quickly became well known and respected in the industry. He was a renaissance man, and a few of his passions were sports, cuisine, music and arts, star-wars, and fishing. Dave was an avid Badgers and Packers fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Gena; children, Gabriel and Madeline; parents, Gerhard and Mary Kay; brother, Blair (Jen Squire); niece, Sophia; nephew, Alexander; and many other close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis and Katherine Welsh; paternal grandparents, Gerhard Lingk, and Elizabeth Decker; and his uncle, Daniel Welsh. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, and from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lingk Children Scholarship Fund.

I just found out about David's passing and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family. My son John and David were friends in high school and I remember him well. I will be keeping all of his family in my prayers.
