Obituary

Willie Renard Lyles was the oldest of seven children born to Forrest and Lucy (Strickland) Lyles, on Sept. 6, 1935, in Wynne, Arkansas. His parents preceded him in death. The family moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. Willie was united in holy matrimony to Gwendolyn Pack on December 10, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri. They relocated to Madison, Wisconsin and enjoyed marital bliss for 50 years, prior to her death in January 2006. He served in the United States Army. Willie was employed by Oscar Mayer Meat Company for 46 years, prior to his retirement on May 30, 2003. He was an active member of Capital City Lodge #2 until ill health prevented his participation in activities. As a member, he served as Past Master and Worshipful Master of Capital City Lodge #2, Commander-in- Chief Medicine-Beloit, and Consistory #84. Willie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in the presence of his family. He will be lovingly remembered and leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his homegoing by his six siblings, JoAnn Lyles of Madison, Alabama, Anthony (Robbin) Lyles of Madison, Alabama, Judy (David) Lee of Huntsville, Alabama, Vivian Fortenberry of Huntsville, Alabama, Jerry Lyles of Gardena, California, and Terry Lyles of St. Louis, Missouri; a niece; many nephews; and other relatives and friends. Sunday, July 31, 2011 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. (Masonic Service at 6:00 P.M.)
