Dixie Alisa Rees

MADISON - Dixie A. Rees was called home to her Heavenly Father, after a long battle with cancer, on July 23, 2011. Being a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she truly came to know her Savior and desired to be with Him. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends. Dixie is survived by her dear husband, Dan; daughter, Lindsay; sons, Joshua (Courtney) and Jonah; mother, Jewell Hughes; sister, Diane (Phillip) Morrill; brothers, Robert (Joseph Meisburger) Hughes and Michael (Julie) Hughes; grandchildren, Matthew, Sariah, Cody and Anthony as well as many members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert O. Hughes. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Cemetery: Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
