Obituary
MADISON - Vyrgil Breitwieser died gently at Oakwood Retirement Community on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 . A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her sons, Mitch and Chip; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and her granddaughter, Audrey. Vyrgil was born in Tomah in 1920, and met her future husband Clyde when he was stationed there for training during World War II. They lived their first twelve years together in his hometown, Evansville, Ind., moving to Monona in 1958. Vyrgil worked many years as a stenographer and keypunch operator for California Test Bureau and the State of Wisconsin, and, after her retirement, she served as a teacher’s assistant at Maywood Elementary School in Monona. Funeral services will be held at OAKWOOD VILLAGE RESURRECTION CHAPEL, 6201 Mineral Point Road, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. She was a sweet and vibrant woman, and will be sorely missed.
