This news hit me extremely hard this morning. To Cindy, Jamie, Carrie, and the rest of the extended family, my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all. I hope you know how much it meant to me to have Dick in my life, as well as you Cindy. Words can't express both the gratitude I feel for the time I had with him and for what he has done for me over the years, and words also can't express how heavy my heart is to know that he is gone so prematurely. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this incredibly difficult time.

To all Dick's family. We, the class of '64, were so shocked to hear of Dick's passing. He was such a good and kind person, and was so happy to share the enthusiasm of his love for his wife, all his children and grandkids. I now regret that, although the invitation was offered, that we never got together for a visit to compare notes and share life's stories. We shall miss him at our next reunion in 2014. We, as the class of '64, will provide a memoriam for Dick.
Love and condolences to Dick's family,
Sally Nye Parris
