Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE- Loren Quelle, age 67, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on Feb. 11, 1944, in Stanley, the son of Roy Sr. And Mary (Jacque) Quelle. He married Jeanie Wagener on Oct. 24, 1964, in Thorp. Loren graduated from Owen-Withee High School. He worked for UPS as a delivery driver for 30 years. After retiring, he enjoyed working with his son at Sparkle Auto Body. Loren was a proud member of Teamsters Local 344. Following his retirement, he dedicated his time to his family and grandchildren, through countless camping trips, outdoor activities, and sporting events. Loren could always be found with Jeanie at his side with family. He was an avid outdoors man and a big fan of the Packers and Badgers. Loren is survived by his wife, Jeanie; children, Mark (Michelle) of McFarland, Mary (Jeff) Vosters of Janesville, and Melanie (Matt) Pinkston of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Morgan, Caleb, and Carter Vosters, Jenna, Sophie, and Chase Quelle, and Loren and Grace Pinkston; and brothers, Roy Jr. (Beatrice), Alvin (Pat), and Pat (Otto) Kind. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jerry and LaVern. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICKSCHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011, with Monsignor Raymond Kertz presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday. A special thank you to Dr. Hei at the Carbone Cancer Center, doctors and nurses at Meriter Hospital, and to the many family members and friends who showed enormous support. Silently we grieve and brush away the tears. The memories that you left behind will last throughout the years.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday.
Service:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICKSCHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011, with Monsignor Raymond Kurtz presiding.
