Louise Williams

BROOKLYN- Louise Frances Williams, age 93, of Brooklyn, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was born on Nov. 29, 1917, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Harry and May (King) Williams. Louise was co-valedictorian with her brother, Roy Williams, for the Brooklyn High School class of 1931. She worked for the Brooklyn State Bank and the Oregon Correctional Facility, retiring in 1987 to care for her mother. Louise is survived by her sister-in-law, LaVonne Williams; great-niece, Melody Schmelzer of Ripon; great-nephew, Joshua Schmelzer of North Freedom; and cousin Joan Jenson of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Roy and Lynn Williams. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, with the Rev. Gail Brown presiding. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Brooklyn. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011.
