Obituary

OREGON-Gerald "Jerry" Wooldridge, age 79, of Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at his home. He was born on July 18, 1931, in San Pedro, Calif., the son of Ray and Roberta (McCoy) Robson. Jerry joined the military in 1950, at age 19, serving as a military police officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After being in the military, he moved back to California where he met Joan Murray. He married Joan Murray on Feb. 8, 1965, in Las Vegas, Nev., and they resided in Wisconsin where they raised their four children together. Jerry enjoyed bowling and softball. He is survived by his children, Patrice (Dale) Seeley, Sarah (Donny) Wooldridge Scott, and Jerod (Patricia) Wooldridge; grandchildren, Caitlin Wooldridge, Absalom Munoz, Justin Seeley, Kyra Wooldridge, DeVonny Scott, Hannah Seeley, Gabriela Wooldridge, and Diego Wooldridge; many nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Romeo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Jason Andrew. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, with the Rev. Mary Pharmer presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary\'s Catholic Cemetery in Oregon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Jerry was a very loving father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by many. We love you Dad! Cemetery: Burial will be at St. Mary\'s Catholic Cemetery in Oregon. Visitation: Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
