Mrs. Marie Catherine Hill

MADISON - Marie C. Hill, age 91, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on March 10, 1920, in Crawford County, the daughter of August and Anna Moeller. She graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca. Marie and Merit Hill were married on June 27, 1946, in Nampa, Idaho. Marie was a devoted housewife and an outstanding gardener. She enjoyed her work at the Swiss Colony in Madison as seasonal help. Marie is survived by her son, Paul (Christine) Hill; two grandchildren, Kevin Hill of Madison, and Brian (Katie Schutz) Hill of Watertown; two great-grandchildren, Molly and Sean; sister, Gladys Rienks; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merit; and three brothers; andtwo sisters. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011, with Pastor Cal Steiner presiding. A special thanks to the staff at HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg, for the loving care they gave Marie during her final days.
