Lucille Ann Grosse

CROSS PLAINS-Lucille A. Grosse, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at HospiceCare, Inc., in Fitchburg. She was born on June 15, 1923, in the town of Springfield, the daughter of John and Appolonia (Schroeder) Kuehn. Lucille was united in marriage to Wilbert I. Grosse on February 5, 1948 in St. Martin\'s Catholic Church in Martinsville. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Cross Plains and its Council of Catholic Women. Lucille was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed making rosaries and crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. She truly treasured most the time spent with her family and friends. Lucille is survived by her children, Jane (Kerry) Adler, Thomas (Colleen) Grosse, James (Jayne) Grosse, Michael (Kimberly) Grosse, Daniel Grosse; a foster son, John Tanty; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Elizabeth Ripp, Lavina Fedele; a brother, Albert Kuehn and a sister in law, Rosemary Kuehn. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Wilbert, one great-grandchild; her siblings, Wilbert (Sybilla) Kuehn, Olivia (John) Laufenberg, Raymond (Henrietta) Kuehn, Sylvester (Elizabeth) (Martha) Kuehn , Leonard (Herlindis) Kuehn, Walter (Mary) Kuehn, Arthur Kuehn, Lavern (Kathleen) Kuehn, Bernard (Catherine) (Mary) Kuehn, Kathleen (George) Statz; two brothers-in-law, Walter Ripp, Sam Fedele and a sister-in-law, Olga Kuehn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains, at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, 2011 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Burial will be in St. Martin\'s Catholic Cemetery, Martinsville. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the church and also on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
