Carl W. Baier, Jr.

Baier, CarlTAMPA, FLA-Carl Baier, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at University Community Hospital in Tampa, Fla. He was born on Jan. 24, 1929, in Sauk City, the son of Carl and Colette (Leidig) Baier. Carl married Margaret Conway on June 30, 1954 at St. Malachys Church in Clyde. Carl and Margaret moved to Tampa, Fla. shortly after they were married and Carl worked at and retired from a bakery. They traveled a lot in the States, Europe, Latin America and Australia. They enjoyed their neighbors and relatives from Wisconsin. Carl always believed in going the extra mile with his friendly spirit and never met a person he did not like. He had great energy to do the work of three people and blessed many with his giving nature. Carl is survived by his wife, Margaret; brother-in-law, Pat (Betty) Conway of Dubuque, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Ronald) Marjamaa of Brookfield, and Joy Conway of Spring Green; 15 nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lorene (William) Ballweg and Janette (Leo) Parr; and brother-in-law, Hugh Conway. Funeral services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Dr., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
