Ellsworth Lensmeyer

MADISON- Ellsworth "John" Lensmeyer, age 95, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on July 29, 1915, in Manitowoc, the son of Louis and Frances (Calhoun) Lensmeyer. John married Ethel M. (Conn) Lensmeyer. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. After retiring from Pabst Blue Ribbon in Peoria, Ill., John moved to Florida with his wife. After his wife passed away in 1989, he moved in with his niece, Debra, and lived in Madison. John is survived by his nieces, Debra Wells, Tamara Wells, Judy (Gary) Orr, and Karen (Jerry) McKnight; and his nephews, Robert (Sandy) Neerland, Jason Wells, Jeremy Wells, Robert (Donna) Lensmeyer, and Mark Lensmeyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; sister, Donna Jean Neerland; brothers, Robert and Everett Lensmeyer; and brother-in-law, Donald Neerland. A private service will be held in Peoria, Ill.
