Obituary
FITCHBURG- Robert L. Bob Mandt, age 82, of Fitchburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. He was born on April 13, 1929, in Madison, the son of Gunder and Lillian Mandt. Bob married June Sheil. She preceded him in death in 1991. He served in the Air Force. Bob was a member of Zor Shrine Patrol. He worked in dairy and farming his entire lifetime. Bob was a diehard Packers fan, enjoyed going to casinos with his friends and considered work his hobby. Bob is survived by his children, Jim (Lisa) Mandt, Kay Larson and Jerry (Debbie) Mandt; grandchildren, Cory, Chad, Megan, McKenzie and Zach Mandt; very good friends, Mary and Sonny; sister, Shirley Busche; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reggie and Don; and sisters, Jean Wright, Mary Midthun and Betty Swenson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, with the Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to extend many thanks to the doctors and staff at Meriter Hospital and the Wisconsin Heart and Vascular Institute.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
