Obituary

MINOCQUA/MADISON-Jeannette A. Krahn, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was born on August 30, 1926, in the Town of Stettin, WI, the daughter of Albert and Alice (Wendorff) Erdmann. Jeannette attended class at Spring Valley , a one room country school, and graduated valedictorian of her 1944 class at Marathon High School. She was united in marriage to Dennis Krahn on September 29, 1951, in the Town of Stettin. He passed away in 1996. Jeannette was employed as a church secretary for over ten years at the First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She held the same post at Lake Edge Lutheran Church in Madison, and worked as the administrative support person for XYZ of Bethel Lutheran Church of Madison until her retirement. She was recently a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Minocqua and currently of Advent Lutheran Church in Madison. She had a variety of interests, and in her later years, took great pride in working with members of both Ascension and Advent Lutheran Churches making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Jeannette's greatest joy was the time spent at her lake home with her grandchildren, family and friends. Jeannette is survived by her son, Dean (Dawn) Krahn; her grandchildren, Ellen and David Krahn; a sister, Vange Ohrmundt; a brother, Gerald (Beverly) Erdmann; a sister-in-law, Doris Leonard; a special niece Jane Miller and her husband and son, Stan and Jameson and numerous other nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at ADVENT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7118 Old Sauk Road, Madison at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2011, with the Reverend Jeff Wild presiding. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau at 2:30 PM. Cemetery: Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau at 2:30 PM. Visitation: Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Service: Funeral services will be held at ADVENT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7118 Old Sauk Road, Madison at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2011, with the Reverend Jeff Wild presiding.
