Betty Stanford

MADISON / PORTAGE-Betty J. Stanford, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. She was born the daughter of Willis and Iva (Neuman) Dinger. She married John Stanford in 1951. Betty deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and friends. Betty loved raising lambs on the family farm in Endeavor. She loved all nature and wildlife and especially birdwatching. She is survived by her daughter, Deb (Gene) Reimann; son, Ed (Lisa) Stanford; four grandchildren, Gino Reimann (Dionne Schumann and her son Coltan), Becky (Eric Palumbo), Eric Stanford, and Mitch Stanford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; sisters, Hazel Halicki, Jesse Brown, and Celia Stanford; brother, Vernon Dinger; and granddaughter, Sarah Stanford. At Bettys request, there was no visitation and private family services were held. A special thank you to moms caregiving family at American Way Assisted Living in Portage, for their loving and kind care....Mom loved each of you. Mom and Grandma...you were a blessing, so gentle, kind and wise. You were the first to give encouragement, the last to criticize. You were always there, whenever skies were gray, the first to lend a loving hand, never turning away. Every special thing about you is lovely to recall, you were a blessing, the most precious one of all. We love you the most!
