Obituary
MADISON- Richard A. Gamer Sr., age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1939, in Madison, the son of Roy and Frances (Muetz) Gamer. Richard retired from Newell Office Products 10 years ago. He had a love of old cars, boats, and fishing. Richard married Barbara Haakenstad on Nov. 27, 1959. Together, they had six children, Anna (Tim) Giltner, Carrie, Richard Jr., Kristine (Bob) Wentworth, Donald, and Bobbi Jo. He later met Connie Eaton and had a daughter, Brandi (Courtney) and became stepfather to Carrie Gaulin. Richard is further survived by 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother, Frances; brothers, Ronald (Patricia), Robert (Forrie), and Larry (Sharon); sisters, Beverly Manning and Bonnie (Tom) Minter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to HospiceCare, Inc. A special thank you to Home Health United and HospiceCare for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, with Chaplain David Stiffler presiding.
