Obituary

HENDERSON, NEV./MADISON- Marie A. Bredensteiner, age 98, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Madison, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital. She was born on Jan. 31, 1913, in DeForest, the daughter of William and Tillie (Lee) Leonard. Marie graduated from DeForest High School in 1931. She married Glenn J. Bredensteiner on Nov. 7, 1941, in Madison. Marie worked as a floor supervisor for Woolworths on the Capitol Square for 42 years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Elizabeth Circle at the church. Marie enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bredensteiner of Henderson, Nev.; brother, Donald (LaVonne) Leonard of Denver, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Barbara Fausett of Madison, Gary (Cindy) Leonard of Wheaton, Ill., Linda (Jon Singer) Leonard of Denver, Colo., Michael (Peggy) Leonard of LaCrosse, Sue (Tom) Suter of Chanhassen, Minn., Alma Wilwerding of Harlan, Iowa and Gary (Cheryl) Bredensteiner of Lincoln, Neb; and 16 grandnieces and grandnephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Arthur; and sister, Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, with the Rev. Duane Hanson presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Marie will be in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Service: Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, with the Rev. Duane Hanson presiding.
