Obituary
Lineweber, Jean
MADISON-Jean Lineweber, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Attic Angels Care Center in Madison. Jean was born on September 14, 1927, in Madison. A Madison native all of her life, Jean graduated from East High School and worked in the Dane County Treasurer's Office for over 30 years where she was responsible for real estate and inheritance tax transactions. In her job and her personal life, she was a perfectionist. Jean was accomplished in knitting, cross-stitch (reproduction samplers) and rug hooking. She loved textiles and had an uncanny sense for design. Every one of her creations was a work of art. Jean and her husband, Bob, shared a passion for antiques. They loved "buying trips", packing and setting up booths in antique shows, and sharing their finds and knowledge with the many, many friends they made in over 50 years of collecting, selling and swapping. Jean is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bob; daughter, Jill (Steve) Hatleberg; and granddaughter, Annie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Grace (Daniels) Lester; and sisters, Doris Jordan and Ruth Jacob. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Attic Angels and HospiceCare for their support and exceptional care for Jean, and to her neighbors and friends for their gifts and prayers.

Jill, I send you my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your mother. May happy memories of her soon replace the sadness you feel of her loss. Know that you did all you could to make her last days happy and comfortable. Now you and your family have an angel looking down on you.

Hi Bob and Jill,
I don't know if you would remember me or not. My mom and dad are Bill and Bunny Borchert. My mother worked with Jean and Fern. I remember coming up to their office at the City County Building when I was a little girl. Jean was such a nice lady! I will never forget her. Her photo above looks just like I remember her! We also visited your house a couple of times and I would play with Jill. My parents are divorced. My mom lives in Arizona and my dad lives in Madison, near my house in Cottage Grove. My dad called me today to tell me he saw the obituary. I wish I could have come to the visitation. I would like to send my condolences and am very sorry for your loss. I will never forget Jean.
