Obituary
MADISON-Stephen Edward Marshall, age 24,died Sunday, March 20, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Stephen was born November 11, 1986 in Libertyville, Illinois to John Edward Marshall and Karen Lynn Kaye (Marshall).
Stephen was a kind person who loved people and doing things for family and friends. Hobbies included music in all aspects, playing bass guitar and enjoying ballads from all genres. He was an avid dart player, sharing this interest with his mother. Stephen had a passion for drawing and studied art at The National Art Institute at Minneapolis. Stephen was a car enthusiast who also enjoyed movies, food, and football. Stephen considered himself both a Green Bay Packers fan and Chicago Bears fan, as his father loved the Bears and his mother the Packers. He often joked about sitting between them at a game with half his body dressed for each team and face make-up split down the middle.
We will think of Stephen anytime we smell the lovely scent of sweet pea flowers, as these were his favorite. Although Stephen\'s life was short, he touched the hearts of many through his quick witted and fun loving personality. Stephen always tried to find the lighter side of life and spread warmth and humor to those surrounding him.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Karen L. Kaye of Madison, WI; father John E. Marshall of Round Lake, IL; Brother Ian C. Marshall of Madison, WI (at home); grandmothers, Jamie L. Lapp and Alberta Mitchell (George); grandfather, Ronald Marshall; great grandmothers, Jewell Carr, Dorothy Weber (George); aunts, Barbara Marshall, Shannon Goss, Sherry Michael (Steve), Rachel Acker (Joe), Rebecca Snodgrass (Michael); uncles, Jason Lapp, James Marshall; cousins, Jason Michael, Zac Marshall, Kenny Snodgrass, Olivia Snodgrass, Joseph Lehi Snodgrass, Monica Acker, Samantha Mattingly, Renee Messerschmidt, as well as numerous great aunts and uncles.
