Obituary

MADISON- Steven E. Daly, age 56, of Madison, passed onto eternal life on Friday, April 1, 2011, following an illness, with family at his side. He was born June 15, 1954 and graduated from East High School. Steven worked in the wood finishing business for many years and took pride in the work that he accomplished. He enjoyed playing and watching sports his entire life and was an avid Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. Steven enjoyed being with his family and was a great son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Betty (Clay) Zelenka of McFarland; brother, Dennis (Kari) of Waunakee; sister, Linda Thompson of Madison; niece, Megan Daly of Madison; and niece, Nikki Steinhofer (Kevin) and their son, Mason of Burlington. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Donald; and brother, Michael Daly. The family would like to thank Kristin and Nicki of HospiceCare and all the staff at St. Marys Hospital for their care and support. The family will hold a private service and he will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials to HospiceCare Inc., Fitchburg, would be greatly appreciated. A precious one from us has gone. God saw that he was getting weary, so He put His arms around him and whispered come with me. May you always walk in sunshine and Gods love around you flow. Dear Steve, I have fond memories of the big bear hugs you gave me(while lifting me up off the floor, even when I told you not to!) and of course, we will all remember the teasing and your devilish laugh! We will miss you at every holiday and family get-together. You were taken from us way too soon. Love you, Steve. Kari
