Oscar Hruby

DANE-Oscar Hruby, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at his home. He was born on October 10, 1923, on the family farm in the town of Dane, the son of Bartholomew and Pauline (Schroeder) Hruby. Oscar was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jeanette Maly on April 15, 1952 in St. Bernard\'s Catholic Church of Middleton. He farmed his whole life in Dane and also worked for Decar in Middleton for over 30 years. Oscar enjoyed traveling around the United States with his wife and he treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette; two sons, Kenneth Hruby of Littleton, CO. and David (Aileen) Hruby of Sauk City; two grandsons, Daniel (Kimberlie) Hruby and Michael Hruby, both of Sauk City; a brother Eugene Hruby; a sister Anita (Menzo) Bronson and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Emma Dahmen and Florence Meier and a sister-in-law, Catherine Hruby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD\'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 with Monsignor Joseph P. Higgins presiding. Burial will be in St. Bernard\'s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton and also on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
