Virginia Runstrom

MADISON-Virginia (Seldal) Runstrom, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at her home in Monona. She was born on Nov. 11, 1928, in Madison. Virginia graduated in 1945, from East High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She married Donald Runstrom, and they moved to Waterloo, Iowa, where they raised four children. Virginia enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was looking forward to being a great-grandmother in May and July. Virginia is survived by her children, Kris Runstrom (Will Brewer) of Monona, Karen Reno of Monona, Kathy Runstrom of Monona, and Karl Runstrom (Laurie Sullivan) of Neenah; grandchildren, Jake (Denise) Reno of Cottage Grove, Josh (Jamie) Reno of Madison, Jenny Meress of San Francisco, Calif., and Nikolai and Natalee Runstrom of Portage. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding.
