Obituary

TOUCHETT, DAVID LEE MADISON-David Lee Touchett, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison. David suffered a severe stroke on January 31, 2011 and was unable to recover. The last weeks of his life he was surrounded with the love of his family and friends. He was a man of deep faith and dwells in the house of God forever. David was born in Elgin, IL., on August 22, 1929, the son of Arthur and Eleanor Touchett. He served on the U.S. Air Force 1951-1955; and married Marcella Javorek on June 1, 1957 at Knowlton, WI. They moved to Milwaukee where David received his Bachelor of Business Administration of Spencerian College. David was a very hard working and fun loving man with a huge heart. He then moved to Madison with his four children to start his career with Professional Office Buildings as the Vice President. David flew throughout America overseeing the construction of medical clinic\'s and hospitals. David stayed with the POB for 17 years. He went on to start his own construction company, Medical Office Buildings of America. David and Marcella had two more children in Madison. He then retired early. David would have loved to see the Green Bay Packers play in the Super Bowl. He was a big fan of the Packers as well as the Wisconsin Badgers. David is survived by five children: Linda (Steve) Larson, Nancy (Jim) Schroeder, Sylvia (Jamie) Zajicek, Jean Touchett and Jack Touchett; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Padrutt, Pat Buehrlen and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Marcella Touchett; his son, Roger Touchett, his parents Arthur (Eleanor) Touchett; two brothers, Art Touchett and Jerry Touchett. David will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 11, 2011 with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton.
