Virginia L. Schnetzler

MADISON- Virginia Ginny Schnetzler, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. She was born on Feb. 25, 1922, to Jacob and Lillian Voegeli of Monticello. Ginny graduated from Monticello High School and Madison Business College. She was united in married on June 25, 1943, to Chuck Schnetzler of Madison. Ginny was in banking in Monona for many years, going through the many mergers of Monona Grove State Bank, GBI and Valley Bank, retiring in 1987, as an assistant cashier. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Schnetzler of Madison; sister-in-law, Alice Voegeli; brother-in-law, Joe Tiffany; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; brothers, Royal Voegeli and Howard Voegeli; and sister, Frances Tiffany. Memorial services will be held at LAKE EDGE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4200 Buckeye Road, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, with the Rev. Lex Liberatore presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI. 53711.
