Rosella Buss

Buss, Rosella P.MADISON/COTTAGE GROVE - Rosella P. Buss, age 89, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011. She was born on Sept. 26, 1921, in Edgerton, the daughter of Erland and Karen (Kjendlie) Lund. Rosella was united in marriage to Elmer Buss on June 3, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked on the production line at Oscar Mayer for 20 years, retiring in 1972. Rosella was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Madison. Rosella had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. She truly loved her family and was very involved with all that they did. Rosella enjoyed the years she lived in the Cottage Grove area and the special friends there. Shesupported her community, the Cottage Grove Fire Department, cheering on the Home Talent baseball games and enjoying the community events. Rosella also loved quilting and ceramics and was very talented at both. She is survived by her sons, Gerald of Cottage Grove, Wayne (Marsha) Buss of Princeville, Ill., Phillip (Beth) of Marshall, Donald (Tara) of Stoughton, and Randall of Mazomanie; many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Buss of Cottage Grove; and brother-in-law, Richard Berg of Sun Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard Buss; brother, Elver Lund; three daughters-in-law, Jean Bus, Gaye Frappier and Mary King; sister, Betty Berg; and brother-in-law, Clarence Buss. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 with the Rev. Al Wahl presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, and also on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made in Rosella's name to St. John's Lutheran Church, 322 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53703.
